About This Puja

The Mahamrityunjaya Mantra (Rigveda 7.59.12 / Yajurveda), also called the Tryambakam or Sanjeevani mantra, is a prayer to Lord Shiva as the three-eyed nourisher for protection, healing, and release from the fear of death. Organised jaap with sankalp is performed for recovery support, family protection, and pacifying difficult graha periods. In Sawan 2026 — a month dedicated to Shiva — daily or cumulative jaap (often 11,000 / 21,000 / 1,25,000 counts as guided) is considered especially fruitful, particularly on Mondays, Pradosh, and Sawan Shivratri. Ideal times are Brahma Muhurat or dusk with a rudraksha mala when possible.

Key Benefits

  • Traditional support for health and vitality
  • Helps reduce fear, anxiety, and mental unrest
  • Invoked for protection from accidents and misfortune
  • Supports graha shanti during tough dashas
